Guided Kayak Session
This is a great option if you are new to sea kayaking, have a family with younger children, or if you want to learn more about the wildlife and scenery of the Kenai Fjords from our knowledgeable guide. Guided sessions take place on the afternoon of your check-in day unless otherwise requested. Get comfortable with the kayaking gear and learn how to paddle safely while reaching one of our nearby kayaking destinations. Oftentimes guests feel comfortable enough with sea kayaking by the end of their guided session to continue paddling self-guided for the remainder of their stay.

2.5-3 hours
$75 per person. The option to add this on to your reservation will appear once you have selected dates and a yurt.
Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, spray skirts, bilge pumps, and emergency vhf radios are provided.

Kenai Fjords National Park Boat Tour
We work with select locally owned and operated tour companies to offer guests the opportunity to take a small-boat tour of the Kenai Fjords National Park directly from our dock at Shearwater Cove. This option pairs well with a 3 night stay: enjoy and adventure around Shearwater Cove for 2 days, then spend the third day exploring the National Park on a personalized small-boat tour.
